Behind the Camera
You probably want to know a little about the person you’re trusting with your story – I’m Julia. A dog mom, a storyteller, and a queer woman who understands how much love lives in the in-between moments.
This work started as a way to advocate for fellow dog parents, to show that photos with your dog don’t have to feel stressful or performative, but honest, grounding, and actually fun.
capture it now, remember it later
Life moves fast, but your memories don’t have to.
I want to be the one who helps you press pause on time.
Your love, your milestones, your everyday moments – they’re treasures. And they deserve to be held onto with both hands.
I want you to remember how your heart raced the first time you looked at the person you love most in this world. The way they still make you feel, in the smallest, quietest moments.
I want you to have photos that hold onto the details. The curl at the end of your child’s pigtails, their favorite book worn soft at the edges, the way their tiny fingers find yours without thinking. The quirks and traits they’ve inherited, and the ones they’ve made entirely their own.
And of course, your dogs. The way their tail thumps at the sound of your voice. How they bound toward you, joy in every step. The kisses, the wiggles, the fur stuck to your clothes like glitter. We don’t get forever with them, but we can make every moment count.
Let’s document it all. The eyes, the paws, the stories that make your life yours.
For the dog parents
They’re not like family. They are family.
We plan our weekends around their adventures, stash the good treats in the cupboard, and smile just thinking about seeing them at the end of a long day. I get it. Deeply. My own bond with my girl has shaped who I am. That love is big, real, and worth remembering.
That’s why I’m here to show you just how easy and meaningful it can be to include your dog in your session. Whether it’s a couples session, a family session, or something in between, I’ll help you feel completely at ease.
You bring the love.
I’ll bring the squeaky toys.
Let’s make some magic. Paws, tails, muddy paws and all.
